Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM) 電化學掃描探針顯微鏡技術屬于掃描探針技術的一種，該技術使用微小的電極在被浸潤的待測基底上掃描，同時記錄其電流響應。電流響應的大小取決于被測基底的表面形貌和電化學特性。因此，通過不同掃描模式的組合，能夠協(xié)助研究人員描述多種多樣的基底形態(tài)和動態(tài)反應過程。SECM的強大之處在于它具有超高的時間和空間分辨率以用于量化物體表面形態(tài)，該技術目前已經(jīng)被應用于各種領域：如生物和神經(jīng)細胞原位檢測成像，鋰電子電池和燃料電池，防腐蝕研究，電化學傳感器，光電化學材料和光伏器件，環(huán)境科學等等。

此次我們專門邀請到McGill University的Janine Mauzeroll教授為我們進行電化學掃描探針技術的深度介紹，其內(nèi)容包括SECM的基本原理，所需的儀器和常用的操作模式，并將詳細討論用于SECM實驗的氧化還原介質(zhì)、探針和溶劑系統(tǒng)。隨后，她將介紹有關SECM的前沿應用，并著重介紹她在過去五年中在材料表征、腐蝕和電池方面的工作。

Dr.Janine Mauzeroll (NSERC-UFA award, Fred BeamishAward CSC) is a Full Professor of Chemistry and an Associate Member of theMining and Materials Engineering Department at McGill. JM is an electrochemist.She develops new in-situ instruments, experimental and numerical methodologiesfor characterizing a broad range of materials, employing classicalelectrochemistry and scanning probe microscopy. Her work consistently combinesexperimental and theoretical electrochemical methods appliedto pressingbiomedical and industrial problems such as multidrug resistance in human cancercells and corrosion in magnesium containing automobiles.
